Plymouth Argyle: Fans Reunited

With Plymouth Argyle on the brink and Peter “Risable” Risdale’s menace still present. The Argyle Fans’ Trust is calling on all supporters to attend Fans Reunited, on Saturday 24th September for the match against Macclesfield.
“Back in 1997 Brighton were at their lowest ebb. The club was run into the ground and evicted from its Goldstone Ground home, where they had played since 1902. Fans of other clubs left messages of support but none resonated more than a post from a 14 year old boy named Richard Vaughan – a fan of Plymouth Argyle. This led to Fans United being organised, where thousands of supporters of other clubs from around the country gathered to stand side by side with the Brighton fans. They have never forgotten the role that Plymouth Argyle played in their survival story!
Brighton fans are now getting together to do the same for us. Already they have hundreds of their own fans coming to Home Park to stand with us in our hour of need, and have received messages from other clubs fans to say that they too will stand with us. It is hoped that thousands of football fans from all over the country will turn out and make this event as special as the original Fans United was.” Visit Argyle Fan’s Trust here.
